The Bravest Man I Know

Emotion: Joy

It was a start of what seemed like a normal day. I woke up a little early than I'd usually do so I could eat breakfast. It have been a few months since the last time I saw my dad and while in was eating I thought to myself " when will he come home?". After breakfast I got ready for another day at fifth grade. When my mom dropped me off I walked up to my friends and waited for the teachers to let kids inside. Once we were let inside I got to work. After some a while it was time for recess my friends invited me to play games (which I did) then I got a feeling. I felt like something bad happened to my dad but I also felt like something good was going to happen but I kept telling myself that my dad will be alright. Once lunch started I got the feeling again but I felt like it was going to happen sooner than I thought. When lunch was over I had to write a story about someone important to me (I picked my dad). Everybody had to pick someone and tell the teacher so she knows who it is and you could start writing. When it was my turn to tell the teacher which person I was writing about I told her it was my dad. After a while as I was writing my story I heard the door open and I a familiar voice went across the room and said "Julian". I looked up and saw my dad standing in the doorway so I got up from my seat and ran as fast a I could. Once I reached my dad I gave him the biggest hug I ever gave and I had a huge smile on my face. It was one of the best times in my life and if i had to choose parts of my life that i could relive that would be one of them.
